Job Summary / Requirements

TECHEVON is looking for a Laboratory Technician. TECHEVON produces a variety of Metal Finishing Products for the Metal Finishing industry. TECHEVON is a growing company and needing to expand our team.

The Laboratory Technician works for the Process Engineer to ensure the quality of the products meets the established standard.  The primary focus of the laboratory Technician is order processing and management.  This include packaging products and creating paperwork for purposes of shipping.  In addition to reporting to the Process Engineer, the Laboratory Technician will have some interaction with the toll manufacturing personnel.

The Laboratory Technician when not processing orders will also assist the Process engineer with color matches, process tanks analysis and other lab work. Additionally, when directed by the Process Engineer the Laboratory Technician will help with research and development activity carried out on behalf of Techevon.

As an integral part of `the TECHEVON team, candidates applying for the Laboratory Technician position must have the following:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Energetic and Eager to learn
• Must be self motivated, task oriented with minimum supervision
• Must have some general computer skills for word & excel.
• Good math skills for calculating surface area of customer parts
• Be able to lift 50 - 55 lb bag
• Dye blending for laboratory use and for shipping to customers as required
• Safety Conscious.
• Must be able to follow instructions in accordance with established test methods.
• Must be reliable, hard-working, accountable

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare Packaging
• Label Drums and Packages
• General Cleaning of Work Area and Equipment
• Order processing and fulfillment
• Laboratory Testing
• Utilize the following equipment:
  • Computer
  • pH Meter
  • Operate Blender for Dry Product Mixture
